Clinical dietitians assess patients’ nutrition needs and make nutrition care plans. A nutrition care plan may include providing the patient with the best nutrition during their stay in hospital, providing information and education about special diets and facilitating follow up nutrition services or care upon discharge.
Respiratory therapy is an emerging technology intended to care for patients with a diversity of respiratory problems. Respiratory therapists at SBH work in a variety of settings including: intensive care, acute care, chronic care, pulmonary diagnostics, anesthesia technology, education and research. Respiratory Therapists are the primary providers of these technical and therapeutic respiratory services and through collaboration with other health care providers they assure the delivery of exemplary patient focused care at SBH.
